Our values & commitments

Four values we keep,
three commitments we can
prove.

Any brand can print "quality, creativity, innovation" on page 4 of a sales PDF without anyone ever checking. At Chronix, those words are operational constraints: they dictate what we accept, and what we turn down.

Here are the four values that shape our work, and the three concrete commitments that follow from them — including on the environmental side.

Our values

Four principles that settleour decisions.

When a project comes in, we run it through these four questions: does the quality hold up? Is there a real idea behind it? Are we being transparent about what it involves? Will we stay close to the client?

No. 01 Quality of delivery

Technical reliability comes before the show.

The constraint of custom development is the battery of tests it demands, every single time. Anything could fail on the day: the code, the electronics, the mechanics, the weatherproofing of a product, its connectors...

But at Chronix we have accumulated experience since 2017, on top of the founders' own backgrounds: high-end events on one side, industry on the other. We have identified trusted references, built relationships with the brands we buy from, and developed processes we reuse every time (from the electronic component to the specific silicone for electrical work, by way of connectors, cables and the rest). The objective: zero failure on the day. If any doubt remains on genuinely complex subjects, there is always a plan B — and a qualified technician to make the magic of the show happen anyway!

This discipline is non-negotiable, even when it forces us to turn down an unrealistic deadline or a budget that is too tight. Better to decline a project than to deliver one that fails. Our clients would be the first to hold it against us.

No. 02 Creativity

Genuine creative thinkingalongside our clients and our artists

We don't offer you reproductions lifted from Instagram or Pinterest. The projects we create and propose, or the ones we support you on, are each the result of a unique piece of thinking, even if it draws inspiration from what already exists (our own work or otherwise).

Of course, if we are asked for standard corporate work, we can do that. But you will always gain by trusting us with the artistic and creative side of your events, because that is how we have always worked, and our processes are built for it.

Our ideas are not better, they are different. They don't replace what exists, they complement it.

No. 03 Honesty

Our advice will always be honest, even when it costs us

It is on this principle that we built a partnership essential to the development of Chronix with Maison Fervenza, among others.

We talk to you very pragmatically about constraints, budgets, deadlines, complications — and about whether someone else is better qualified than us to answer your brief...

You are guaranteed real, up-to-date information, in good time.

No. 04 Human scale

A small team, with real peopleto talk to.

When you call us, you speak to an engineer or a project manager — not to a switchboard. When your event takes place, the people you had on the phone and met in meetings are the ones on site. When your usual contact cannot be there in person (two events on the same day, for instance), we tell you from the outset, and you always have one of our delegated production managers at the main control position.

This human scale is a choice: we would rather remain a team you know.

We are equally able to work directly with an end client or as a discreet subcontractor for an events agency — as a matter of professional ethics, we never target the same clients as our partners.

Our environmental & social commitments

Three verifiableCSR commitments.

The events industry is not environmentally neutral: disposable materials, energy consumed, travel, post-event waste. Our commitment is not to say "we are eco-responsible" — it is to set rules that we keep, project after project.

Compliance with the Loi AGEC

Our sets and scenographies are designed to be dismantled, reused or recycled. No single-use expanding foam, no structures thrown away after one event. Our LED modules, tubes, hexagons and tunnels are stored and reused across successive projects.

Energy sobriety

Our lighting systems rely ~95% on low-consumption LED. Our electronic boards draw a negligible amount of power. On municipal projects, we systematically propose timed scenarios (switch-off overnight) rather than 24/7 operation. We have developed an electricity consumption measurement solution that we can deploy on our projects.

Local roots & lasting partnerships

Workshop in France (Saint-Quentin), most bespoke fabrication carried out in house or locally. Recurring partnerships with French suppliers. This logistical sobriety naturally reduces our transport footprint. When we travel long distances, we source as much as possible locally in order to cut costs.

Working with local partners
"You can write "quality, creativity, commitment" on a brochure without anyone ever checking.

We prefer a simpler rule: a value only counts if it makes us refuse something — an impossible deadline, a saving made on safety, throwaway projects.

That, as much as what we deliver, is the measure of our craft: technological innovation at the service of emotion."
— The Chronix team, since 2017
