Six disciplines, one producer

Every medium of live show-making, under the same roof.

Where most event providers assemble an ad-hoc team for every project, Chronix produces a show from A to Z with the same team — the one that has known your project since the very first meeting.

Scriptwriting

Before the first line of lighting code, we write. Narrative arc, scenes, transitions, emotional beats. This is the stage that separates a show that moves people from an assembly that is technically correct but soulless.

Scenography

Spatial composition, choice of materials, staging of the venue. LED tubes, hexagonal structures, luminous flowers, tunnels — our in-house catalogue adapted to your venue and your intention.

Light

Lighting composition, choice of sources, sequence programming. Moving heads, lasers, blinders, RGB LEDs, stage haze — Art-Net/DMX control mastered in-house.

Sound

Sound design, PA calibrated to the venue, with the option of quadraphonic sound for indoor shows. Original soundtrack composed for the project or licensed, depending on your budget.

Video & mapping

Motion design, projection onto architecture, integrated LED screens, animated content. Content produced by our own team.

Pyrotechnics

Stage pyrotechnic effects (indoor cold sparks, fountains, outdoor gerbs) integrated and synchronised with the rest of the show. Certified pyrotechnician team, prefectural declarations, safety.

Our creative process

Five steps to move from intention to applause.

01

Creative brief

Getting to know your venue, your brand, your audience, your intention. What we are looking for: what makes the project singular.

02

Writing

Narrative arc, breakdown into scenes, first scenographic choices. Validation at every stage.

03

Production

Motion design, lighting composition, sound design, workshop fabrication of the scenographic elements.

04

Get-in

On-site installation, calibration, dress rehearsals, adjustments. Our technical team settles in on location.

05

Show operation

On the day, our team is at the show operation desk. Continuous loop or fixed showtimes. Careful get-out once the event is over.

Case study — flagship project

A complete show for Le Pays des Sources.

2024 · Local authority

A creation from A to Z, carried by a single team.

The Communauté de Communes du Pays des Sources entrusted us with the complete creation of an event show: scriptwriting, scenography, sound, light, video, on-site show operation. Not a patchwork of providers — a project led from the brief to the final applause by the same team.

A brief typical of a group of local authorities: controlled budget, family audience, strong local roots, energy sobriety. The creation was designed to tick those four boxes without sacrificing anything on artistic quality. It is now our operational benchmark whenever we talk about a "complete show for a local authority".

Frequently asked questions

What clients ask us.

What kind of budget do you work with?

Our entry point varies with the format. For a complete creation like Le Pays des Sources (scripted show, sound, light, video, show operation): allow for €30,000 to €60,000 excl. VAT depending on the scale. For a shorter format (corporate mapping for a one-off event, event animation): a few thousand euros minimum. Describe your project to us and we will come back to you within 48 working hours to talk it through.

Are you able to produce an original soundtrack?

Yes. Our team includes integrated sound design. For premium projects, we can also commission an original composition from a partner composer. For tighter budgets, we work with a catalogue of licensed music, selecting whatever best serves the narrative.

Do you work with event agencies?

Yes, as a discreet technical subcontractor. A significant share of our creative work comes from event agencies that appoint us for the technical production — they manage the end-client relationship, we produce the show. As a matter of professional ethics, we do not target the same clients as our agency partners.

How much lead time should we allow for a complete creation?

For a creation on the scale of a Pays des Sources show: allow 6 to 9 months between signature and the first performance. The scriptwriting phase typically takes 1 to 2 months; production (motion design, lighting composition, scenography fabrication) 3 to 5 months; get-in and rehearsals 1 to 2 weeks. Under 4 months is possible, but with compromises on the scale.

Do you also supply the stage elements (structures, lighting), or do we have to hire them elsewhere?

We have our own equipment stock (LED modules, tubes, moving heads, video projectors) and a solid partnership with Capricorn for complementary equipment. You do not need to provide anything — we arrive with everything required and leave with it all.

Can you create a show that tours across several sites?

Yes. When a project is designed to tour (a travelling brand show, an itinerant format for local authorities), we design it modularly from the outset: demountable elements, fast calibration, standardised technical rider. Transport and re-rigging costs are built into the quote.

Do you have an event, a venue and an intention ?

Tell us about your project. Our writing and production team gets back to you within 48 working hours with an initial response, with no obligation.
